Five flavours. One berry.

It's called Omija, a Korean berry, centuries in the making. We made it sparkling. It's unlike anything else on the shelf.

So, what does it taste like?

Hard to describe, which is half the pleasure. Omija means 'five-flavour berry': sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy, all from one small berry. Most drinks hit a note and hold it. This one keeps moving.

Mungyeong, South Korea.

It comes from a mountain.

Omija grows in the hills around Mungyeong, prepared by people who've done it for generations. We tried it travelling, couldn't stop thinking about it, and built a drink around it.

Dinner, or just because.

Good with food. The acidity and fine bubbles cut through anything rich, spiced or salty, the way a good glass of wine would. Just as good cold from the fridge on a Tuesday, no occasion required. Straight from the can, or pour it into a wine glass and watch it earn its place there.

It needed a category. So we made one.

Not a soft drink, not a mixer, not another kombucha. One remarkable berry, made sparkling, made to be enjoyed properly. We call it Korean Botanical, because nothing else really fit.

“So good! Not often you try a drink and genuinely can't place the flavour, such an interesting one.”

“This is my go-to now. Has the complexity of a wine, and it's so nice to finally have a soft drink I'm happy to bring to dinner parties.”

“Genuinely different. Every sip I'm still trying to work out what's in it. Love that!”

“Hard to describe without tasting it yourself - there's something almost savoury underneath the sweetness that keeps it interesting sip after sip. Nice to have a non-alcoholic option that doesn't feel like an afterthought.”
